Music & Art

Our Philosophy Of The Arts

We believe that God is a creative God and we are made in His image.  Therefore, we believe the art that we make reflects the beauty of God.  We don't believe that there is a distinction between "Christian" art and "Non-Christian" art.  We believe that there is just art.  We don't use art in our worship services for mere entertainment or so that we come off as cool.  We use art because we believe the gospel connects to our everyday lives and all we are saying is that you have to open your eyes and you will see God in places that you would've never thought to look.   The area of creative communication is constantly expanding at Grace. This ministry involves music, dance, drama, visual arts, tech and more. Grace is committed to excellence, passionate about art that reflects truth and is open to new and changing art forms.

We Support Local Artists

We love local artists and desire to suport them in their art.  We do this by displaying local art in our "Gallery" in the Grace Foothills offices (27 South Trade St., downtown Tryon). We have displayed work by Tryon artists, Page Davis, Kathleen Carson, Bill Crowell, Ford and Mara Smith, and Saluda artists, Bonnie Bardos and David Prudhomme.

Current Art Show in The Grace Foothills Gallery

Come by the Grace Foothills Gallery (located at 27 S. Trade St. downtown Tryon) and see the wonderful art that is displayed by local artists. In our windows are works by local artisans and inside the Gallery are works by local photographers that are well known and loved in the community. We are thankful for Kathleen Carson from the Simply Irresistible Gallery in Tryon who brought all the work over and set it all up.

Musicians Wanted

We are currently looking for local musicians who love to play to join us in leading (with their music) our worship services on Sunday morning.  Call Scott Stewart if you are interested at 859-5504.
