Mercy at Grace

GIAvolunteersVolunteers ready supplies at an outreach event for the local community

It is because of the great mercy of God toward us that we have the impulse to show mercy to others. The mercy and kindness of the Lord is comforting and healing in times of trouble, and the church is to be an extension/reflection of God's kindness and response to suffering in the world. Mercy is the work of the whole church, not just one particular ministry area. But to function well and to serve effectively, each ministry area focuses and specializes in certain aspects of whole-church work. The Core Ministry area of Mercy at Grace is organized around two main areas: Pastoral Care and the Diaconate. Please select an area below for more information.

Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care exists to support the body with prayer, theological guidance, and direction/connection to other resources of help.

The Diaconate is a group of trained individuals who focus on extending mercy and compassion in practical ways. Meet our deacons to learn about the work of the diaconate at Grace, who they are, and how to get connected.
